That sample ugly chunk of code reminds me of Google AdSense and social bookmarklets.. most of the major third party JavaScript we use are that ugly..
Add to that: The ugly script will insert iframes by document.write. which I hate most!

Now that doesn’t mean that I’ll be using it all the time, but for certain things, it makes my life a lot easier. Eval isn’t that evil. 😉
